mSemicon started out in 2001 as an electronics company specialising in motion control. Over the years the company has built on that great tradition, adding many new technologies.

One of the areas of greatest growth is IoT (Internet of Things) where the company’s expertise in low cost communication and display technology has been very much in demand. Our IoT sensors and monitors are featured on our Telemonitron website. We also develop IoT solutions for third parties.

Another area of growth is in energy systems, smart grids, and renewables, where we are involved in a number of Irish and EU research projects, such as Horizon 2020. We are very open to collaboration with other companies and research institutions all around Europe.

Supplier of PCBs

Typically mSemicon develops and supplies custom circuit board solutions that form part of a larger client product (i.e. for an OEM — Original Equipment Manufacturer), but at other times we provide the complete solution, housing and all, i.e. full product design.

Many of our electronic products, particularly those that contain microcontrollers, run on embedded software that we develop in order to meet the requirements of the application.
